Loy Real Estate & Auction is a family owned business that was started in 1955 by founder Ernest Loy. Ernie was very active and well known throughout the community. He and his oldest son, Gary, conducted all types of auctions while younger son, Doug, and daughter-in-law, Kim, were the clerks and cashiers. Upon Ernie's passing, Gary has taken over the Auction duties along with Ben Lyons, Travis Theurer, and Aaron Loy (Ernie's grandson) from the Portland area. Kim who has her Real Estate Brokers license is operating the Real Estate office along with Brokers; Gary Loy, Doug Loy, Aaron Loy(Indiana & Ohio), Missy Puterbaugh, and Forrest Johnson. We also have several auction assistants including: Abby Theurer, Alex Johnson, Kaitlyn Smith, Jenny & John Petro, and Eric Jutte is our Mercer County Ohio representative.
In Spring of 2020, Nance & Welch Realty Group of Winchester, IN merged with Loy Real Estate & Auction. Former owner, Steve Welch, along with Shirley Lawrence joined the Loy Team.

We conduct auctions in Real Estate, Farm Machinery, Antiques, Household Goods, Livestock, and anything else you might have to sell. We offer a complete Auction service from scheduling and advertising to setting up and selling your property. We have a mobile clerking office with credit card capabilities and have same day auction settlement.
